This Insurance is for covering all Civil Engineering Projects such as Buildings, Bridges, Canals, Roads and Tunnels. The Period of Insurance is the same as the Contract period and the Maintenance Period thereafter, if any. The Policy covers the Contract Works and can be extended to cover the Principal’s Existing Property, Removal of Debris and Professional Fees. Section-2 of the Policy affords protection against Liability to Third Parties upto the chosen limit of Indemnity. The Policy is taken in the name of the Principal, Contractor or Sub-Contractor either individually or jointly.

The Policy provides cover against accidental physical loss or damage to the contract works against all perils other those which are specifically excluded. The Policy does not cover delay, faulty design or inventory losses. The policy also does not cover penalties and fines. CAR Policy is subject to Deductibles/ Excess as may be agreed.
